Hacienda de la Punta

Hello,
I am looking for any information about this hacienda. It seems it was a large on in Aguascalientes,Jalisco. The people had to travel to Cienega de Mata to register births, marriages, and deaths. I would like to learn more about this hacienda and it's people/workers. Does anyone know where I can look for this information? I would really appreciate it.

Estoy buscando informacion sobre la Hacienda de la Punta. Si alguien me puede ayudar en donde puede ver la vida y las personas que Vivian alli. Te lo agradezco.

looking for records pertaining to francisco de lira and or related families

my search so far has taken me to the 9th great grandparents of me known as francisco de lira and or barbara perez. their daughter was efigenia de lira who had been born roughly 1702 and was baptized: Cinega De Mata, Jalisco, Mexico. she had married my bernandino martin and had known children names such as lucas, bernabe or lugarda martin. still having hard time trying to find out anything about bernandino martins parents who was a miguel martin. a marriage record was found concerning miguel martins marriage as 1719 in cinega mexico. dna matches me to perez sanchez and many other names associated to me. where can i go to find older records as im stuck in some areas ? thanks and god bless stephanie

Luisa de Villegas

Hello Nuestros Ranchos Forum,

i have a question about Luisa de Villegas that is married to Pedro macias
valadez. i'm trying to find out who her parents are and ive seen on
Nuestros Ranchos that there are posts that say she's the daughter of
Francisco Solano de Villegas Calderon and Francisca jimenez Altamirano. Ive
also seen trees that say that but i never seen a record that shows that and
im just trying to see if there is some record that says that.

Hello,
I am new to this site. Doing research on my great grandmother and her family from Aguascalientes area. My grandfather was born at a place called Hacienda de la Punta to an Apolonio Gallardo and Magdalena Victorino Rico. Does anyone know if this place still exists? I would love to visit if it does. His birth was registered at Cienega de Mata.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Tengo esta información sobre Petronila:

http://gw.geneanet.org/jeandelage1?lang=en&p=petronila&n=arias+de+valde…

From the book Moctezuma's Descendants in in Aguascalientes:

"In addition to locating the baptism of Ana in 1553, we discovered a 1594 marriage document from the Archdiocese of Mexico City which provides the following information: "X'poval [Christobal] Sotelo Valderrama natural de esta ciudad hijo legitimo de Diego Arias Sotelo y Don Leonor ---- [unreadable] - difuntos [deceased]." Christoval was the brother of Petronila Sotelo alias Petronila Moctezuma, who represents the next generation of this family."

GENERATION 4: PETRONILLA MOCTEZUMA (born 1552)

PETRONILA SOTELO MOCTEZUMA was probably born around 1552 in Mexico City. It is believed that in 1571 she was married to MARTIN GABAI DE NAVARRO, also known as MARTIN NABARRO. A marriage of Petronila and Martin has not been located yet, however, they were referenced several times as an ancestral married couple "Martin Nabarro" and "Petronila Montesuma" in a 1703 Diocese of Guadalajara informacion matrimonio document for a marriage that took place in Nochistlán. The known children of Petronila Sotelo (alias Moctezuma) and of Martin Gabai de Navarro are shown below:

Intro-Torres, Ramos, Cisneros, Velasquez Mazamitla, Jalisco-Valencia, Cotija,Michoacan

Saludos Primos! My Name Is Aaron Torres, I live out In Washington State. I am researching on my fathers side Torres Ramos and Cisneros Velasquez from Mazamitla or Valle De Juarez(Valle De Mazamitla). Also on my fathers side I have Valencia, Zepeda, Mendoza from Cotja De la Paz.heres some of the information that I have. I can’t seem to find records dating back before 1800 in Mazamitla or Cotija.

1. Francisco Torres; born abt.1795 in Mazamitla, Jalisco; He Married Maria Carmen Ramos probably around 1825-1828 in Mazamitla, Jalisco, Mexico. She probably died around 1890-1895 in Aguililla, Michoacan.

2. Children of Francisco and Maria Carmen are:

3. i. Vicente Torres born abt. 1828 in Mazamitla, Jalisco; died 1898 in Aguililla, Jalisco.

4. ii. Agapito Torres born abt. 1843 in Mazamitla, Jalisco;died 1909 in Coalcoman ,Michoacan:Married Maria Cisneros married abt 1867-1870; daughter of Guadalupe Cisneros and Ramona Velaquez

5. iii. Crecencio Torres born abt.1836 in Mazamitla, Jalisco; Married Trinidad Cisneros;daughter of Guadalupe Cisneros and Ramona Velaquez;had a son Lorenzo Torres baptized in 1866 in Mazamitla, Jalisco

Baptism record for Lorenso

6. iv. Felipe Torres born abt.1845 in Mazamitla, Jalisco;died 1896 in Aguililla, Michaocan: Married Eusebia Cisneros; daughter of Guadalupe Cisneros and Ramona Velaquez

Guadalupe Sisneros and Ramona Velasquez also had a son named Manuel(I know this from my 85 year old great uncle) found a record of him being born 1852 but the mother being Ramona Velasco. And a Felipe Torres and Carmen Ramos as padrinos. Found a marriage record on a Guadalupe Cisneros and Ramona Velasco not sure if it the same familiy.

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-GTF9-D?i=127&cc=1874591
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-5M98-G3?cc=1874591

This is as far back back as I could go on Torres and Cisneros families, I can’t find anymore information on them.

For the Valencia side from Cotija

I have Vicente Valencia born around 1800 married to Dolores Zepeda born around the same time. They had a son named Geronimo Valencia born abt.1825 in Cotija;died 1893 in Aguililla, Michoacan. married Francisca Mendoza around1854 in Cotija.

I matched with someone on Ancestry dna as 4th-6th cousins having a Tiburcio Valencia and Margarita Zepeda born around the same time as Vicente Valencia im thinking they could be brothers.

If anyone shares any of those surnames and places let me know I would really appreciate the information.

Saludos.

Hello to everyone.

I am searching if Jose Guerra Valadez cc Ana Vázquez Zermeño at may 27 of 1703,Lagos, is the same one as José Guerra Valadéz cc Águeda Díaz del Castillo, couple from wich I don´t have marreige date. However I do have the chistening of their son Manuel Jacinto Guerra Valadéz (sep 03 1721 Santa María de los Lagos).

It is highly probable that both Jose are the same person, due to the dates, however I don´t have any documento that proves it.

By the way, between the descendants of José Guerra Valadéz and Águeda Díaz del Castillo are the famous priests:
- Pbtro. Miguel Leandro Guerra (B. march 01 1769 Lagos), grandson.
- Zacatecas first Bishop Ignacio Mateo Guerra y Alba (sep 27 1804 Encarnación), great grandson.
- Zacatecas second bishop José María del Refugio Guerra y Alba, grandson.

Instead, the ancestry of José Guerra Valadéz cc Ana Vázquez Zermeño is the famous family Macías-Valadéz:
- Parents: Alonso Guerra Valadéz and Inés Rodríguez Gallardo.
- Grandparents: Mateo Macías Valadéz Retamosa and Catalina Guerra López de Nava.
- Great grandparents: Nicolás Macías Valadéz and Leonor Vázquez Retamosa.

It would be wonderful if someone has information or documentos about it, and with that prove that both lines are teh same one.

Cheers and sorry about my english.

Somos Primos "We are cousins" July 2017

Dear Primos and friends:

In celebration of July 4th, may the profound importance of the American Revolution fill you with gratitude and thankfulness for our great nation and the continuing sacrifices being made to maintain the freedoms we enjoy.

With special thanks to Dr. Carlos Campos y Escalante for the considerable information he sent for the July issue on the many successful voyages and global travels of early Spanish explorers. He also gathered data on the DNA of Mexico, the Indigenous, and the British, showing our connected historic humanity. You will find an enthusiasm and growing involvement in heritage projects, which is really exciting. Do search them out and get involved in one or more heritage projects. We all benefit.

God bless America, and strengthen each of us to be a builders and fortifiers, that we may continue to be a blessing to the world . . .
Mimi
