Francisco Gutierrez de Hermosillo married Tomasa Garcia de Hermosillo first then Maria Dolores Gomez de Mendoza. I wrote a detailed book that studies the "Gutierrez de Hermosillo" family, which is my direct paternal line. It includes 13 chapter, one per family all the way back to the mid 1550's to the present. It's sold on amazon and is titles "Los Gutierrez del Rancho El Molino"

Sergio,
I have bought this book and recommend it highly to others doing research in the area of Jalisco. I have found it to be extremely helpful because it is very well researched, gives specific dates and references, provides historical context, and it is easy to read. This book also serves as an example for how to organize our findings for use by others.

Thank you for writing such a wonderful book,
Deedra Corona

Thanks Deedra,

I spend over ten years investigating this family line, which is my direct paternal line. My goal was to use first hand knowledge as much as possible to prove these people existed and as you know since you bought the book, I also discuss subjects, such as slavery, land grants, capellanias and cofradias.

Does anyone know if this book has been printed in English? I am planning on buying the book. I can "read" the names, dates, and locations well enough but I can't read and understand the subjects such as slavery, land grants, chaplains and cofradias in Spanish. I would like to learn the history, too.
