Tracing beyond Mexico to Spain

Hi!
I believe I have exhausted my research in Mexico for all of my Mexican family lines. How many in this group have made the jump to Spain or other countries? How did you do that? What resources did you use? Any other tips are much appreciated. Thank you, primos!

Sherri,
My people lived in the Los Altos region of Jalisco. I was able to move several lines back to Spain. A NR member recommended Retoños, the series of books by Mariano Gonzales-Leal. Check WorldCat to see the list of libraries with the set. My grandfather was in the books. His line went back to 1475 in Spain.
Good luck! Lucy

Have you check pares data base.

Thanks, Lucy. Ill check it out. I saw that there are 9 volumes. Is it easy to find names? Are names indexed?

Hi Sherri,
The first volume gives an overview of regions, last names covered in the rest of the volumes and some other important info. It’s sort of an index with supplemental info. Good luck. Maven
