I participated in the study years ago.  However, they have not started 
publishing mtDNA results yet.  They plan on publishing them to their 
website sometime next year.

I would encourage everyone to participate. You could potentially have 
your pedigree chart extended many generations by participating.  Here 
is an excerpt from their website:
"The corresponding pedigree chart is also extended by staff 
genealogists as far as genealogical databases allow; extended pedigrees 
currently include over one million ancestral records."

My brother and I both submitted our samples along with our full gedcom 
file (not just the 4 generation pedigree chart they require).  They 
hide all information on living individuals, so you don't have to worry 
about privacy.
