San Jose de los Marque, Huejucar, Jalisco

Does anyone have ancestors from here? Does anyone know the history? I just realized today that the official name is San Jose de los Marquez. Some of my family from there is Marquez. Also Galvan & Villegas.

It would seem we have some ancestors in common, though I'm not able to tell their relation to you.

Juan Antonio Polonio Marquez is my 4great grandfather, his father Jose Segundo Marquez de los Olibos is my 5th g grandfather.

I FINALLY found someone on here that I'm related to! Woo hoo!

Juan Villegas and Philipa Rodrigues were parents of Petrona Villegas and Bartolome Villegas. Bartolome was married to Nicolasa Rodrigues de Ortiz (b. 1705, Nochistlan). Her parents were Miguel Rodrigues and ...de la cruz and perhaps related to Juan de Aguayo and Catalina de la Cruz as they were padrinos. Bartolome and Nicolasa were parents to Juan Florencio Villegas (Ameca) who married Pascuala Flores in Colotlan in 1759. Does anyone see a connection anywhere?
