Here goes my vote.  

I'm in agreement with Maria.  I don't think that Joseph expects materpieces
from all of us, but he as probably all active contributing members would
appreciate something.  

At least our family trees should be protected in a separate file
inaccessable to non-contributing Members.  As Joseph says, start with your
grandparents, and work back as far as you can.  I have found information
very easily just knowing this.    My father was born in the early 1930s, and
I found his birth record, so it really is fairly easy.  The Microfilms have
so much info.  

Also, it isn't fair to those who have contributed their family trees.  Here
are our lives like open books for individuals who haven't done the same.

I think it should be stricter.  The intent of this board is clear.  
It is meant for serious genealogists who are actively doing their 
own research. The messages are open to the public so that those who 
want to wait until they are ready to join can still read the 
messages posted without feeling pressured to become members.
