Please see the new file Steven has sent me dated 11-30-03.



Working together is definately the key to unlocking more knowledge.

As, some of us have more years of knowledge regarding "Genealogy

Research" it is great to share our resources.



Steven, has been very helpful with his knowledge and connections. I

hope to someday become very knowledgeable in this field. I am a

novice but learning more every day.



I also want to thank Irma Gomez-Lucero for her wealth of knowledge on

genealogy in Jalisco.



After Christmas and New Years pass I will try to work more on my

genealogy. I will also refer family members to this website. So

some day we can complete most of this very interesting puzzle of our

ancestors.

Altos de Jalisco. I believe there are 4 or 5

books in the series covering different time periods. You should

feel free to use mine -- all in Spanish! When we

finally coordinate schedules we'll be able to connect the dots and

I did not know you joined the Ranchos Group. Yes, we ! did not get a
chance to talk and I will definately give you any information that I
come across. It will have to be after the holidays. I have just started
entering it into a genealogy program but can give you copies of what
Steven and I have uncovered.



I will also try to get over to see your dad. How is he doing?



Have a Merry Christmas! Have to go to sleep because my daughters will
wake me up very early.



Genealogy is very addicting.

Nena -- I was just authorized access today! So I am going through a

lot of the work and have already found so many

connections between Steve Hernandez' info as well as Maria Cortez

and your work! You've all made my work much easier...



I am also organizing the files that I began when we first met over

two years ago -- Irma Gomez Lucero, Maria Cortez's work,

as well as information that Amapro provided. Just trying to organize

and I'll print out "rancho group" stuff later.



My dad is not well and we haven't spoken since the tamale gathering.

I'll probably swing by before Christmas but

his health will probably not get much better. He has congestive

heart failure, diabetes and COPD -- fancy name for

respirtory problems associated with long time smoking. Non of the

conditions are reversible but the diabetes can be

managed by diet. Do swing by and visit -- I am sure he would

appreciate it.



Well -- till we organize our gathering, take care and my best to you

and your family! I have time off through the end of

the month so let me know whether you want to swing by and borrow the

book. Do you work downtown? If you don't

have my numbers, here they are:
