Ray ; What do you know about the Iniguiz line ? I only have a few members identified, my great grandmother - Elena Iniguiz from Jamay, Jalisco and her father Emilio Iniguiz. My mother said she was told that the Iniguiz were a good family from Spain.
I wonder if you could tell me what you have learned about them as a family and I wonder if we may be related through that family. My mom was a Ramirez, from Guadalajara, Jalisco. but that is another story.
This site is the finest site of good and gracious people. Reading the crossing E-Mails is always a pleasure and sometimes most heart warming. God bless them all.
Thank you,
Jose L. Macias

José,
My mother's line is the Iniguez I am researching. She once told me her family (the number of people) was not very large and my search so far seems to confirm this.
As regards where was/is the area of Nueva Galicia, John Gonzalez's message fairly well defined the early boundaries of the area.
Ray
