Jalisco records at Familysearch.org

Good morning all,

Yesterday Familysearch has finally made the Jalisco records available online. Last night I reviewed the Guadalajara Diocese records for marriage dispensations.......... and I hit pay dirt!

It took some going through. I randomly entered image numbers to find the year I was looking for. They are not in good order.....but once I found the couple, it took me back 3 more generations on one family line.

So if you've got marriage dispensations and it's within the Guadalajara Diocese...this is a must read.

WOW!!!!

That is wonderful news. Thanks for sharing that with us Rose.

I am hoping someone can help me locate dispensations for the year 1742. That is obviously a year that does not appear to be in any particular film but could be in a number of films that appear to be amalgams of various periods...

The dispensation I am looking for is:

great news!!!!, I have severall dispensations so I guess I´ll try

Thank you!

Hi Rose,

I think you have dealt with Dispensas more than I have. I have a dispensa
dated in a marriage record "Dispensados el 2 de abril de 1772" The marriage
took place in Calvillo Aguascalientes and it only mentions that they shared
two lines of consanguinity third degree and the other third with fourth degree.

I noticed many online "films" have the year 1772, are there certain films
in the Diocesis that are strictly dispensas or are they all mixed with other
records.
