I find this really interesting since my direct ancestor Francisco 
Mendez was also from Zamora Michoacan, He says in the marriage 
record (1795 in Tamazula) that he's been gone from Zamora for 6 
years, he married a Sanches de la Mejorada that say they are from 
Tuxpan.  His second wife, my ancestor was a De la Cueva!
thank you for taking the time to post. Looks like I'm going to have 
to order films from Zamora now... the searching never ends..

Hello Joseph, I'm not studying it but have found 4 female Alvarez del 
Castillo in Tamazula Jalisco.  They are from app. the 1730's to 1760 
time period and 2 marry into the Gutierres de Robles, 1 into the 
Morfin and 1 into the  de la Cueva families.  I have decendants but 
not thier parents.
