I found the name Pio Roriguez as a padrino on a birth record in 1811 and I just want to know if that is a full name or is it short for something. Does anyone know?

Ruben is absolutely correct Pio was a shortened version of Pioquinto. In English the literal translation is Pio Quinto or Pious the Fifth, after the pope.

Pio is a full name, a version of Pious - latin or Pius

Late Latin name meaning "pious, dutiful". This was the name of twelve popes

I'm pretty sure his full name is Pioquinto Rodriguez.
