Matamoros

Can any one guide me towards defunciones in Matamoros, Coahuila, for the years, 1853-1854? My g,g,g,grandfather, Pablo Luna, died at that time span and location. I haven't been able to find any info about this time...Thanks, Raul Cristerna Luna

Raul,

I don't know anything about Coahuila but it appears that the Church records for Coahuila have not been digitized yet. The only records available on-line for Coahuila are the civil records that begin in 1869.

San Jose, Ca

The Coahuila images are located the same place the Aguascalientes and
Zacatecas records are located.

According to Wikipedia Matamoros wasn't even a villa until 1864 so if the
record you are looking exists it would have been recorded in a church
somewhere other than Matamoros. That is why there are no records for
Matamoros in the years you are looking for.
