I am looking for someone that is willing to look up the surname San Martin Y Estrada in two books:"The Econmenderos of New Spain 1521-1555" by Robert Himmerich y Valencia and "Cartas Privadas de Emigrantes a Indias 1540-1616" by Otte Enrique. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Mickey,
Wow, thank you very much for the prompt response. Your help is really appreciated. My oldest ancestor is Antonio San Martin Y Estrada married to Ana de Lamas O Saucedo. Then, he married Josefa Tello de Orozco, when Ana died in the 1660's. Antonio and Ana had three kids: Antonio, Francisco, and Antonia San Martin Y Estrada.
Does it happen to say where the encomiendas of Pedro or Diego were located?
Thanks!

This may have been answered before. I remember researching the Aguascalientes Church records with IGI and I dont see them anymore. Did I miss an explanation or can anyone tell me what happened to them?

Miggy,
I am not sure if anyone answered your question, but Aguascalientes records can be found under Catholic Church Records. For some reason they never received a separate link from that collection.

Hi Again
In the Cartas book there is not a San Martin y Estrada listed. Anymore?
