Initials

Does anyone know what these initials (E.A.h or M.A.h or L or V) stand for. they are always on the left hand side of the page under the person's name. I think the L stands for limosna.

Hi Anselmo,

I think the initials are as follows:

P = parvulo
y = India
m= mestizo
E= Espanol
A= Adulto
L = limosna
h = Entierro menor (maybe)
maior = Entierro mayor

Then E.A.H. would mean Espanol, Adulto, Entierro menor

I didn't see an example of the V. Please send me an example of the death record with the V. I'm sure about all the initials with exception of the "h". But I reviewed more records and I noticed that the priest had one record with E.A. maior then I'm thinking that the last space was for the "type" of funeral services

I hope it helps
