color=#0000ff size=2>Of the Jalos surnames you mentioned, the only surname I
don't have is Cornejo, but I know two Jalos families with that surname who live
in a nearby town in Northern Calif.  Two brothers of which one 
married a Gonzales and the other married a Gutierrez of
course.    I am distantly related to the wives.

color=#0000ff size=2>My closest, most direct relative who was born in "El
Rancho de los Portales" was my G Grandmother Tomasa Gutierrez born March 6,
1844.  All of her siblings as well as her father, Dionicio Gutierrez were
born there.  Its a pretty large, tight-knit  group.  Dionicio
Gtz's wife was Maria-Lauriana-del-Refugio Perez (married June 7, 1841 in Jalos)
which ties me into the Franco & Perez clan.

personally know other descendants from this rancho.

  color=#0000ff size=2>Of the Gonzales, I'm a little more confused & scattered
due to the common surname.  My closest, most direct relative was my G
Grandmother, Paulina Gonzales born January 25, 1872 at the rancho, "El
Aguila."  Her parents, Juan Nepomuceno Gonz & Antonia Gonz were married
in San Miguel el Alto (February 9, 1870).  Antonia was his second spouse,
and younger of course.  Her Gonz. family seems to come from Santa Ana or
Santana (birthplace of Santo Toribio Romo who also has Gonz. in his
background).  Juan Nepomuceno Gonzales' (earlier ancesters were known as
Gonzales-Rubio) family seems to be a long-term Jalos family (El Aguila). 
I'm sure that Antonia & Juan were related somehow, but I'm still trying to
figure that out.

reunion in Ags.

Hi Irma:

 

Iam starting my research in the Jalos area.  I am
looking for:  Gonzalez, Gutierrez, Cornejo, Franco, and Perez.

 

So far I have found: My grandfather and his family
were from outside Jalostotitlan, from a place called "Los
Portales" 

Using the LDS church records, I was able to find 11
additional family members, going all the way back to my ggggrandfather!  I
have not submitted any of my findings yet because I am right in the middle
of  the dicovery period.  At the present time, I have a few names, but
not many dates.
