Here I go again with the questions but no one that I have spoken to has been able to help thus far. I understand that there were at least two ports of entry in Mexico back in the early 1800's, one was in Vera Cruz and the other was Tampico. Quien Sabe? Certainly there must have been a trail of paper work MANIFESTS PASSENGER LISTS BIRTHS AND DEATHS for the ships. BUT WHERE ARE THEY? I understand that there is a site in Spain where passengers would register "Indice de las Indias" How does one go about getting information at this site, where do I begin? or is there a place in Mexico????
