Test of "Announcements" Forum 02-23-2006
Did anyone ever find out if the crossings for 1916 are filmed or not? That's the exact year that I need (of course) for my grandmother...I have information already for her, but it would have been nice to see it!

First of all, I want to check if this will post to everyone. *crossing fingers*
Second, I want to thank Arturo for all the hard work you (and whoever else)
put into this site - it's great. I encourage whoever has the time to look, test, and add files.
I love the layout.....

First of all, I hope no one minds if this message comes over the "waves" as it is just a test....second, I hope this works....

p.s. Don't worry, I'll keep on trying 'til we get it right, ok, Arturo?

According to the 1930 Census of El Paso, my grandparents came over in
1913 and 1918, respectively. My abuelita--Altagracia Gonzalez,
daughter of Cenobio Gonzalez, born in Jerez, Zacatecas in 1895 came to
EP in 1913. My abuelo--Jose Benito Hernandez came over in 1918--he was
born in Chih., Chihuahua. Does that mean there's a border crossing
record for them? (Keeping fingers crossed!) Marge:)

In addition, they never became citizens. So each time they crossed to
Juarez and back, did their names get noted somewhere or something? I
don't know what info would be contained in their files, if they had
files. Marge:)
