There is an edition published in Mexico as well with a different
ISBN. I have perused through the book at the Library of Congress.
It is very well indexed, and has a good deal of informtion though it
is a bit cryptographic as all of the information is provided in
abbreviations so as to save page space... There is then a translation
table at the front to make sense of all the codes.

I believe that the list of immigrants to Mexico from the Spanish Archives located in Seville are available in the Ancestry.com database "Immigrations".  You have to be a subscriber to their databases.

The Ministry of Culture in Spain has a website that has many of their
archive documents online. I am just now trying to figure out how to
use it. Try this link... it has instructions in English. The
webiste is only in Spanish:

http://www.ldelpino.com/aeren.html

The "catalogue" is a seven volume publication for of the passenger
lists through 1599... Below is the Library of Congress entry for the
books, as well as a link to other LOC resources on Spanish
immigration to the New World. I live in Washington DC so that is
where I will probably access these (if I can't do it online) but I
imagine other large libraries have copies as well. I believe that
the LDS has filmed the entirety of the passenger lists through the
18th Century but those films do not circulate to local Family History
Centers... so you will basically have to go to Seville or Salt Lake
City to see them unless the online access works. I am crossing my
fingers that it does.

Arturo,

Have you tried "Archivos Españoles en Red" (www.aer.es) ?
As expected, you have to register first in order to gain access.
The navigation is not very user friendly but if you try hard enough
you'll eventually learn your way around. Of course, you can also ask us!

If you want an easier route to the passenger lists, check your library
for Peter Boyd-Bowman's "Indice geobiográfico de más de 56 mil
pobladores de la América Hispánica". I think this book is currently
out of print but my understanding is that it has the same lists that
you'll find in the "Archivos General de Indias".

Victor
