its very unique. For a very long time my brother was very upset because of his
rather unusual name. Soooo many times people would pronounce his name wrong such
as: Narcisco, Narisso, & Narisco. Our grandfather was also Narciso (our
father name him after his father, of course!) but we didn't understand
where the name came from . . . Narciso means the same as Narcissus (flower &
greek mythology of the vain man) but as I continued to do my family tree I found
that the first "Iglesias" in Mexico Juan Bautista (originally from Spain abt.
1790 & my 5th grandfather) had four sons: Narciso, Juan, Francisco &
Nazario. The name just continues to go down the tree . . .

Aren't you glad to not be named Reducindo or Reducinda?  One
of my
ancestors is named Narciso, another Prudencio, another Petronilo, and

another Zenobio...what names!!!!  Marge:)
