Hello
Joseph,
class=721434317-21042004> Please keep us up to date on your
results. I've been interested in this myself, but I had thought that it
could only be done with samples from a male member of the family. I
had been working on my brother to do this. He's a criminalist and has
access to computer software that tests DNA for solving crimes, etc., As a
test, he and other co-workers ran DNA on their blood samples--I'm sure it
wasn't as detailed as this project. The results concluded that he had DNA
that was consistant with being descended from two individuals who had some
similar DNA. He and the only other Hispanic had the same results.
:) He was told that this was common in small towns. Of course by
then, I had already connected some of my lines. Interesting, huh? I
find the Jewish link interesting too being that I have a Perez
line.
class=721434317-21042004> Could you give us more info on
the procedure?

ancestor. I think the common ancestor is Diego de Villarreal my 9th great

which son he came from. One common finding is that we are classified as
Haplogroup E3b which means we are of Jewish origins and our closest genetic
cousins so far are mostly Eastern European Jews. A small percentage of
Sephardic Jews or Spanish Jews are Ashkenazi Jews. I have made big leaps in my
own research and have found more than one Villarreal family in
