I just returned last night from a visit to my parents' home in Mexico and had the pleasure of spending a couple of days in the archives in Guadalajara with the town historian (cronista) of Totatiche, Esteban Valdes Salazar. I've been working in my family history for 3 years now but mainly in Yucatán and Galicia from where my father's family came from.
My Garcia line ends at 1800 at Don Theodoro Garcia husband of Dionicia de Calvillo. I have a baptism for one of there daughters of whom i descend. I descend from 3-4 of their kids. I need to order the baptism so i can get the line to the 1770's.
