I Need Help with Penmanship: Ynes Flores de ??????

According to my wife, Colico (colic), has to do with a
stomach aliment. She told me the stomach inflates
with air which sometimes results in death.

For a long time, the drinking water in Mexico was not
treated, which probably caused many deaths, especially
in young children and older adults.

I Need Help with Penmanship: Ynes Flores de ??????

Hi, Joseph,

It is a death certificate from February 7 (?) (siete) 1822.  He died of la grippe (gripa?).(or colic).  He was the  second husband of Mrs. Ramires, his widow, or it was his second marriage, I can't quite figure that out.  It does look like his mother was Ynes Flores de Lisar.

Joseph,

Is this a death certificate. It seems as if it might say "murio de colico", meaning died of a colic.

Does this make sense?

Hmmm, seems like Yahoo changed up on us!

Sorry about that but Yahoo just went and changed up on us.

I've been playing with the colors but can't seem to get it back to the
place we were. I don't like the yellow letters to the left but I can't
seem to change those colors. If someone out there with more color
aptitude than I wants to send me a few suggestions I'll give them a try.

thanks,

El Teul

Peggy,

I just checked the "Diccionario Geográfico, Histórico y Biográfico de
los Estados Unidos Mexicanos" by Antonio García Cubas, there is a link
to it in the links section of the group. It talks about a Teul in
Tlaltenango, Zacatecas.

I hope this helps.

Alicia,

Felicidades!

El Teul

Peggy,

I don't know if this might be the case for your area of research but I do know that in some municipalities there may be certain years when records, civil or parish have been burned or destroyed, in some cases due to wars, revolutions a natural disaster such as fire or some other strange occurence. You might want to look into this. It's possible to check on a website to your research area and you can call the registry and ask if there are any years that are lost or destroyed.

Just a thought and suggestion.

I haven't gone in the yahoo groups in a long time, and today when I wanted to, I couldn't get in.  So I recreated my yahoo account to read lunalatina1955, however I requested that mail from the group still go to my aol email address.  Is there something you need to do to allow me re-access into the groups?

Thanks for all you do.

Great great suggestion. Everyone should take Angie up on her offer to
help if you have any problems. This is really pretty straight forward.
So why not gather your names and places within our Target area (Jalisco,
Zacatecas, and Aguascalientes) and put them into the database? That way
someone can see the short description and locations and be able to then
go directly to your file to see if there is a connection. I'm going to
do this soon but time prevents me from doing it for the next week or so
because of an exam I need to study for. . .

thanks Angie,

Pineda family in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas

Hi all,

I'm new to this group but I would like to say what I'm
searching for at this point.

I'm looking for any information on the family of my
great-grandparents, Nicanor Pineda and Emilia
Gonzalez, both from Tlaltenango, Zacatecas. They came
to Laredo, Texas in the 1920s.

Based on the 1930 Census records that I've found,
Nicanor Pineda was born around 1895 and his wife,
Emilia Gonzalez was born around 1907. I've looked at
some of the 1890s microfilm from Tlatenango at my
local FHC but have not really had any luck. I've
realized at this point that the Census records can
often be wrong with dates. What was interesting was
that I did not find one 'Pineda' but there were
several people with the name 'Pinedo.'

I'm hoping this may connect with somebody out there.
As a side note, I do have extensive information on my
family roots in Nuevo Leon and Mier, Tamaulipas. I'll
be loading up later today.

Hope to hear from someone,

Chris Pineda
