dionicio flores and maragarita mendoza marriage info

i just found the marriage information for this couple but i'm having a hard time reading it. could anyone translate it for me

here it is

This is fascinating. Dionicio was a Spaniard? The doc is kind of hard to read, but I get that he had an affair with his sister-in-law, but I don't see what the purpose is? They had to confess their sins AND get it written up in the church books as well? Has anyone ever seen anything like this before. I haven't checked the other pages to see if it's more of the same stuff.

Finding nationality is nice but try to find more than one record that gives it. Many of us in Nuestrosranchos have families where the children are all different nationalities depending on color, 1 Espanol, 1 Mestiso, 1 Yndio and 1 Mulato! The Mother was never at the baptism so the godparents were usually the ones giving information and the scribe was making his own decisions on the Nationalities.

yes dionosio was a spainaird. one of his daughters, margarita, married and indigenous mexican guy named silvestre villaneda. that type of marriage was very uncommon during that time.

also i don't quite undertsnad what the purpose for the doc either.

Dionicio Flores is my 3rd GGF. This appears to be an info/inquest hearing of his marriage to Gertrudis Mendoza. It states that he was having an illicit affair with Margarita Olaya Mendoza, his wife's sister.
