Dionicio'a wife brought the charge of adultry against him through the Catholic Church. The Church held the hearing and Dionicio admitted to the ilicit affair. I'm not sure if and how he was punished by the Church.

Finding nationality is nice but try to find more than one record that gives it. Many of us in Nuestrosranchos have families where the children are all different nationalities depending on color, 1 Espanol, 1 Mestiso, 1 Yndio and 1 Mulato! The Mother was never at the baptism so the godparents were usually the ones giving information and the scribe was making his own decisions on the Nationalities.

This is fascinating.  Dionicio was a Spaniard? The doc is kind of hard to read, but I get that he had an affair with his sister-in-law, but I don't see what the purpose is?  They had to confess their sins AND get it written up in the church books as well?  Has anyone ever seen anything like this before.  I haven't checked the other pages to see if it's more of the same stuff.
