TEST SITE - DO NOT USE - Development only

I believe it took place in 1519, when Cortes first set foot on what 
is now Mexico. At that time there were only rumors about the big city 
of Tenochtitlan. I think Cortes was the third expedition to Mexico, 
because the first two had failed with many casualties. The author of 
the book, Bernal Diaz del Castillo, was actually part of those three 
expeditions, including the battles against the aztecs and the 
conquest of Tenochtitlan.

I wrote this email to Yahoo asking about info on purchasing additional
"File" space. It seems that they don't have that option available. We are
going to have to think about some near > term solutions to our dwindling
file space.

Perhaps everyone should upload a GEDCOM file to worldconnect.rootsweb.com.
That way a link could be stored in the file space, but the data would be
stored elsewhere, freeing up a lot of space.

That's indeed a little know historical fact about the father 
of "Mestizaje".

In Mérida, the capital city of the State of Yucatán, there is a 
statue erected in honor of the Spaniard sailor Gonzalo Guerrero, who 
together with the Mayan woman Ix Chel Cam, procreated the first 
mestizo children in the Americas.  Here's the link:

The book "Historia General de las Indias", written by Francisco López 
de Gómara, although a lesser work when compared to Diaz del 
Castillo's "Historia Verdadera", makes also a brief reference to
