Joseph,

What is a Matrimonio Dispensas and where can I look one up at?  I 
found a couple's marriage information and within it, it was indicated 
that they were blood relations.  Where could I look up a Matrimonio 
Dispensas for this couple?

What surnames is Steve Hernandez researched/researching???  Yes, any
knowledge he can provide, I'm all ears!!!!!

I hope this works but I'm converting the file sent in Tif format to Gif

hey Maybe you can convince your Cousin Steven Hernandez to send us a all
a lesson about how he has used the Matrimonio Dispensas in his genealogy
work. We all could only hope to one day achieve a small portion of what
he has found in his genealogy.

working on Villegas but I don't know if their Villegas are the same as
your Villegas.

So here's what I'm understanding:

your great grand parents are:

Teodoro Rosales (dob: _____ place of birth______) and Tomasita Villegas
(dob: ________ Place of birth ______)

children:

1) Porfiria Rosales (dob:_____ place of birth _____) married Rosendo
Montes (dob:______ Place of birth:_______)

try to give just a little more information so we can see if they are
from the same areas of Jalisco or Zacatecas that we are researching.
Especially the place of birth. We can kind of guess the dates of birth
some time in the mid to late 1800's but the place of birth is important.
Sometimes all the Villegas from certain little Ranchos were "ALL" related.

Also do you have any place and dates of death for the great grandparents
(if this applies)? Any places of marriage? Do you use the LDS Family
Search page for your research? How about the FHC's?

glad to have you in the group, be patient this genealogy could take
awhile, but the effort is worth it.

This is a request for more of you to provide your genealogies so we can
make some serious comparisons.

Afterall that is kind of what i was hoping for when I started the group.
for a place where we can share our Genealogies and possible make some
connections. for a place where we can share info on the different things
we've learned. you know share of ourselves in hopes that what goes
around comes around. . .good things have to happen if we research as a

Do you have a marriage certificate? Do you happen to know if he was
either before or after married to a Maria Antonia Ledesma?

surname. I don't have much information other than my 
greatgrandparents names were Teodoro Rosales and Tomasita Villegas, I 
don't have anything information on them. Their daughter (my 
grandmother) was Porfiria Rosales whom married Rosendo Montes(z)son

How many of you all are using WorldCat? If you just said, "what the heck
is WorldCat?" then you need to learn about this terrific information source
to do InterLibrary Loans. Call your local library and see if they have access
to WorldCat and if you can access it from home via the Libraries subscription.

on if you are having any trouble with the spelling of some hard to read first

Today I went to Duke University to make a copy of a map that includes
Lagos de Moreno on it. Unfortuneately the library was closed because of
Spring Break. So I'll have to delay in getting this Map Scan to the
Group. . .but since I will be going again in the next couple or three
weeks are there any others in the group that would like their area
scanned for the group? I already have three maps in the "files" section,
but if you don't see your area just let me know and I'll try to cover
that area next time I go.
