Dear Eduardo--
Many thanks for your message. I do have the people you mentioned. They are all great uncles or aunts to my husband. The ones I am missing are as follows:

Dear Victoriano-
I have two feelings about indices. First, that they are good and help you to find someone quickly, if they are indeed listed. Second, that they are bad because you might skip over someone needed for your family tree. Personally, I would check the film completely at least once, if it was very important because even if you don't find the person you want, you might find other relatives.
Sorry Victoriano, this message is for Patricia Burton. She is right about the indexes, you can never assume they are 100% accurate. For anyone reading this, I am sorry about posting it within this article and pay close attention to the name variations. Many of you already know this but for those that do not or need a reminder, always check different variations in the spelling.
Patricia,
I do not know if you are aware of these other children of Juan and Estrefania. Chances are that these are all family of Cipriana. There are probably other family members that I did not find. It looks like the family was in Octolán first and then Toluquila and finally settled in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, México. Some of my family is from Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, México so we might end up being cousins. Here you go this might help you.
By the way Victoriano I might end up being related to you also since I also have Sepeda's (Zepeda, Cepeda) in Coahuila also.
Name: Vicente Godines De La Torre
Dear Patricia and Eduardo,
Thanks for your commnents. You are right, sometimes just by browsing a microfilm you can find siblings or cousins of your ancestors, and get some interesting or new information that helps you sooner or later. I guess I'll put the Ocotlán micorfilm in my "to check" list after all.
By the way Eduardo, I noticed in your name list a "Gemela Francisca Godines". Was "Gemela" her name? Because it also means "Twin sister" in Spanish, and I've seen many batrism records from Mexico where they list twin siblings together.
Warmest regards,
Victoriano Navarro
Luis Alvarado and Beatriz Lopez de Elisalde had daughters Maria Lopes de Elisalde and Josepha de Alvarado (and at least one other, Antonia Lopes de Alvarado).
Maria Lopes de Elisalde married Thomas Macias on 13 Sep 1659, in Aguascalientes.
I would like to thank everyone that responded to my query; this has all been quite helpful.
Rose Hardy's thought that Thomas Macias and Nicolas Macias were brothers had occurred to me also. I've seen several cases of brothers marrying sisters. However, like Rose, I've not seen anything to substantiate it in this case.

George a few suggestions:
Look at the marriage record of the children of Nicolas to try to narrow down his death date. His burial record might mention who his parents are, where he was born, if he “Testo” (left a will). Keep in mind that he might not have been native to Aguascalientes.
Look for the christening record of the grandchildren of Nicolas. In those records the paternal and maternal grandparents are often mentioned and if they are deceased or not. By looking at the christening records you can find out when the grandparents died pretty easily, e.g. one child is christened and grandfather and or grandmother is or are alive, next christening grandfather and or grandmother is or are dead. Now you know to look for the death(s) between those two christening dates.
You also should look at "Información Matrimonial", if you have not done so already, and not just Nicolas's marriage record to Josepha. You need to look for the children and grandchildren’s records. You never know who
Just a note of advice for new genealogists in regards to the records
informing you of grandparents. In my experience, if they list grandparents
without any reference to their being alive or not, do not assume they are
living. It is when "defuncto" or "que vive" is noted that you can use this
information to estimate date of death. I've more commonly found this in
marriage records if the grandparents are noted.
Eduardo
Thank you for the suggestions.
I have looked at the Información Matrimonial a bit, but since my Spanish is really not adequate, it presents some real challenges!
One thing I have also done, if that if it seems like there are few children in the family, I look for other wives. I have found a few cases where the groom's parents are named (along with the deceased first wife) in the marriage record for the second wife, whereas the first marriage record did not mention the groom's parents.

George,
If you need any help reading documents in spanish, let me know, I live in San Jose and come to Pleasanton to bring my grandson to visit with his mother who lives in Pleasanton. I would be happy to give it a look if you have copies of documents that need some translation. Sometimes it's not the actual translation that's a problem, it's the condition of the documents and the legibility of the scribe's hand writing.
Let me know if you need help, would be happy to assist.
Regards,
Alicia in San Jose, Ca.

Josepha de Alvarado married Nicolas Macias on 21 Feb 1662, in Aguascalientes.
Does anyone have information on Thomas Macias and Nicolas Macias?
George Fulton
I descend from Nicolas Macias through his son Onofre Macias. It is my belief that Nicolas and Thomas are brothers who married two Alvarado (Lopez de Lisaldi (Elisade)) sisters, Maria and Josepha. This was common practice in the early days and I have this practice done in my family as late as the 1900's in California. I have scoured the early Aguascalientes records, Baptisms, Marriages, Confirmations and Deaths and no where was I able to find the parents of these two Macias men. In my book "San Gabriel Valley Families of Nueva Galicia" I have listed all the children I was able to find for Nicolas and Thomas. All names are in alpha order for ease of reference.
Nicolas Macias was a very common name in Aguascalientes in the 1600's as there are 5 of them. Even Nicolas and Thomas each had a son Nicolas. Other common Macias names that appear often are Gaspar, Gertrudis, Pedro, and Juan.
I also have the Romo de Vivars' Tiscareno's, Ruiz de Esparza, Gonzales de Hermosillo and Fernandez de
If they were not in Aguas, possibly there from the Lagos de Moreno branch or the San Juan de los Lagos branch this family spread all over the place like many alteños.

Their children appear to be:
Dear Patricia,
Thanks for your message I don't really know for sure if I should be looking for VICTORIANO NAVARRO in Ocotlán.
I found the names of his parents and grandparents in al old family tree prepared in 1935 by one of his grandsons. Recently I was able to confirm the names of his parents (MARIA ENCARNACIÓN SEPEDA & DOMINGO NAVARRO) by finding baptism records of his chidren from northen Coahuila. I still have to find out whether the names of his grandparets (FERNANDA SARAVIA & JOSÉ MARÍA NAVARRO and RAFAEL SEPEDA & ROSA SAUCEDO) are aso correct or not.
I am trying to find a marriage or baptism record for Victoriano himself (hoping to find the names of his grandparents), then I would like to try to find the same for his parents, and only then I could make sure whether the records you mention do correspond or not to my ancestors.
The only source of information regarding Victoriano's Ocotlán origin is a book regarding the Madero famiy genealogy written by Carlos B Madero, the

Well I finally had my mtDNA performed and received the results today. I can now join Gary Felix's site for the mtDNA, Amerind project. My Haplogroup is A which arose about 50,000 years ago in Central Asia. Haplogroup A was first found among the aboriginal American population. It is one of the five mitochondrial lineages found in aboriginal Americans in North and South America. I guess thanks to my mother and my mother's mother's mothers, I am truly an American.
My MTDNA is A and is posted on Felix site, male Cubillos DNA is from the Balkans(I?) and Rodriguez is Q3, Robles is R1bI. All on Felix site.
Hope to see some matches.
Diversity...and it keeps on with the additions of Swedes, Norwegians and Portuguese(Azoreans) to the Robles line and other Americans of Spanish-Mexican heritage.
Alot of ancient mixing in Espana, Mexico and the US. No superior pure group. Which is wonderful!
Moctezuma was royalty. I am not related, but those who are, are royalty.

You're right Sylvia, what's amazing is that DNA testing takes us back to the source before cultures as we know them today were formed. It is important to honor our heritage and culture, but equally important, it gives us a broader sense of brother \ sisterhood with others as well as insight to who we "truly" are. I'm a student of Iberian \ Mexican history and one thing that always struck me was the wide diversity of cultures that poured their blood into making these countries and their inhabitants. Alicia,
If you and your brothers have the same mother, they do not need to characterized their mtDNA. Is the same yours, and also the same as your grandmother, greatgrandmother....or the sons and daughters from the female side (e.g., if your mother has a sister, her children will share your mtDNA. The analogous situation would be with the Y-chromosome. As long as their is only one father, thats all you need.

Thanks for the reply John, very nice to meet you ! I'll be happy to share my results with you when I get them back. I participatred in a study conducted by a local college here in northern California back in the late 90's. It was before DNA research was available to the common man and was based more on the now out dated body type \ cranial studies. The woman who conducted the study said that I reminded her of the Berbers, specifically the Kabyle people, in body type and structure. I'm expecting my Y results to come back either E or J, but I know that there is danger in speculating, what we look has nothing to do with our DNA ! My mothers side of the family is Basque, so who knows what my mtDNA will be. I live in the Bay Area, Northern California, at least we are in the same state ! I'm originally from Arizona. Isn't Valle de Guadalupe just up the road from San Jose de Bazarte, I think it is ! Look forward to hearing back from you, Salud, Robert Gonzalez~
Valle de Guadalupe is a few miles South of Jalostotitlán, and just a few
miles North of Pegueros, which is the town just above San Jose de Bazarte.
I went to Elementary, Junior High and High School in San Jose. I still have
family in Northern Cal. including a brother named Robert Gonzalez, in
Stockton.
Keep in touch.

Cole,
Don't despair, some of us waited many many years for various reasons, someday you will get your chance, after all, your DNA won't change or spoil, it will remain constant until the day when you can give yourself the gift of DNA. Perhaps you can ask family for a birthday gift donation, rather than an object, a $$$ donation towards your DNA test. I only paid $99.00 for my mt DNA through Gary Felix's site, Family tree DNA.
Best to you........Alicia, ........San Jose, Calif

Just a couple of questions/comments regarding your posting to Robert.
My husband has Juan Gonzalez de Hermosillo married to Ana Gonzalez Florida as his 9th Great-Grandparents. This line descends via their daughter Ana Gonzalez married to Diego Sanchez-Carranza is this the same family that you noted in your posting?

Hi:
Pat and Tino Corbera
I am wondering if we are talking about the same couple. Could you please
check your records for the following dates?
Juan Gonzalez de Hermosillo II. Born 1591 in Jalostotitlán. Died 6 Jan
1666.
Ana Gonzalez Florida II. Born 1594 in Jalostotitlán. Married in 1614 in
Jalostotitlán..
This is the couple from whom I descend.
I do have a Catarina Gonzalez de Hermosillo, but she is married to Capt.
Joseph Muñoz de La Barba. Her parents were:
Diego Alonzo Ramirez de Hermosillo and Luisa Muñoz de Nava
Hi John,
Yes, that's what I have for Juan Gonzalez de Hermosillo and for Ana Gonzalez Florida. By rechecking the IGI Batch #F868245, I realized that I had not added Juan's parents - Another by the name of Juan Gonzalez de Hermosillo and his wife Maria Munoz.

How are you related to SantoToribio? My grandfather is a third cousin to Santo Toribio thrice, through the gutierrez once and through the gonzalez twice. He is a 4th cousin 6 times through the romo and gonzalez.

Greetings Robert,
Very interesting stuff, indeed. As it turns out, my mother's maternal Santelices and paternal Onate sides are both Basque. Santelices being Basque was a recent discovery, whereas Onate is well known. About 20 years ago I visited Onate in the Basque region of Spain and was blown away as to the total separation they feel with Spain. They don't claim to be Spanish, they told my mother and myself on various occasions that we were not Spanish, but of the "pais Vasco". In the town of Onate, all public signs, announcements, TV, and radio are in Basque. Basque is totally different and not at all understandable from Spanish. Many words were extremely long and appeared like German! Though all the Basque spoke Spanish, they chose not to speak it amongst themselves, but were kind enough to converse with us in Spanish. The occasional Spanish words used in their conversation were those referring to the government or products from central Spain. I keep a Basque radio station on my c
Hi all,
I descend from the NAVARRO family from Coahuila, altough according to one source my great-grandfather VICTORIANO NAVARRO came from OCOTLÁN, JALISCO (born about 1808; son of MARIA ENCARNACIÓN SEPEDA & DOMINGO NAVARRO; greatson of FERNANDA SARAVIA & JOSÉ MARÍA NAVARRO and of RAFAEL SEPEDA & ROSA SAUCEDO), however so far I have not confimed this Jalisco connection with any other documents. If anybody has any furhter information please let me know, I would really appreciate it.
I got the Y-DNA test from NatGeo/FamilytreeDNA and we belong to the R1b1b2 Haplogroup. The FamilytreeDNA page has an "Ancestral Origins" section where they compare one's results to their database. According to therm:
-Percentages above 2% are considered significant indicators of your family’s origins.
-Percentages above 4% may be interpreted as highly significant indicators of your family’s origins.

I just finished reading an article some of you may find of interest: "The Genetic Legacy of Religious Diversity and Intolerance: Paternal Lineages of Christians, Jews, and Muslims in the Iberian Peninsula" by Susan M. Adams, et al, in the Dec. 12, 2008 issue of The American Journal of Human Genetics, Vol. 83, pp 725-736. I don't pretend to understand all of it, but grasped enough to feel the reading worthwhile. I had to get the assistance of someone with access to a medical library to get it, but you all may have your own resources.
Rachel,
I found many articles on the family tree DNA web page, however because I am not one with a high degree of medical and scientific language, it's difficult for me to understand what I'm reading in language for the common man. I will keep reading and trying to wade my way through it, and if I manage to gleen just a tidbit, well it's better than not trying at all.
Thanks again,

I read through the article, most of it was over my head , I've been into the history of Spain for quite some time and have a good grasp on the peoples that settled in Spain, a flimsy grasp on the science of genetics though ! What I could understand I found very interesting, especially since I have a feeling that my Y DNA will come back J2 or E, again I could be totally wrong. The only problem I have is with the perceprtion of J and E being exclusivley Berber or Sephardic Jew. First I must say that I have no problem with either of these ethnic groups and would be proud to have them as my ancestors. The orgins of the aboriginal "Iberian" has never been solved and to me there is the very distinct possibility that either one of these could be their DNA. Speculation is that they came from either North Africa or the East, corresponding to the J and E Y DNA haplotype. According to the article, there is a large amout of the population that has these two types in Spain . Another puzzle, why
I am not certain, but since I have been researching my own Northern Irish, I thought that I would put a couple cents in to this discussion. The DNA of Spanish origin may well be mixed with Celtic blood. To understand this, you must follow the O'Neill story on the "Wild Geese". Many of the Irish clans members were taken in by Spain when their boat was virtually politically stranded there after losing to the British. They intermixed with the population in Madrid. Spain was sympathetic to the Irish Catholics in their fight against the British, but then one King failed them in their time of need. Also, many a Spanish ship was lost on the Northern Coasts of Ireland. A short way away from my ancestral home of Rosbeg, Donegal, Ireland, many shipwrecked Spainards were hidden by the Northern Irish and smuggled back to Spain. It took them a long time to get back, possibility of some of those sailors took Irish wives back with them??? There is a long history between the countries. I
Good stuff Maureen, the Irish \ Iberian connection goes back even farther than that. Have you ever heard of the "Irish Book of Invasions" ? In it , the decendants of a mythical figure named "Mil Espanie" ( the Spanish Soldier) conquer and settle Ireland by way of Spain, they were the Gaels. Even the ancient names of the countries are similar "Iberia" and "Hibernia" . The Scots also have a similar myth in which their ancestors "dwelt among savage tribes in Spain" before coming to Scotland. Genetic evidence bears some of this out as the western Irish and some Spaniards \ Basques are identical in DNA. The connections have been going on for eons, as well as the connection between Wales and Cornwall and Spain. The Roman historian Tacitus said that the Silures, a tribe in what is now Wales, had " swarthy skin and dark curly hair" like the native Spaniards. Funny thing is that the ancient Irish, British and Welsh never referred to them selves as "Celts" in antiquity, not did the Romans call
Great information! I am going to check out the Invasion book and Facing the Ocean. Thanks for all the book plugging. Love a new read and had not realized that Spain was such a melting pot. Maybe even more than Mexico and the US!
You are most welcome Maureen! I hope I didn't sound like a "know it all"...I get really excited about all this stuff, history, mythology and ancient connections. Spain was not only a mosaic of different peoples, but they ALL intermingled, granted it was less in ancient times due to the mountains that criss cross all of Spain, cutting some peoples off from others, but it still happened eventually. That is why the whole idea of "purity of blood" the Medieval Spaniards pushed was so ridiculous, the more noble the family the more mixed the blood due to dynastic marriages between Moorish grandees and Christian rulers, not to mention the Jews. So many notable Spaniards are said to have Sephardic backgrounds, from Saint Teresa of Avila to Miguel De Cervantes. Don't get me wrong; I'm very proud of my Spanish blood, whatever the vintage may be. I've traveled through Spain, what a warm, generous people, beautiful and kind. It's just that, as historians and genealogists, we are searching for the
Robert--
You mention the Welsh. They too have a mysterious origin, and a language like no other. The singer Tom Jones once spoke about songs his father taught him, and I believe he said they may have had a Jewish origin. Some Welsh have a certain look and very curly hair, so I wonder if they had a Semitic origin.
Also, have you heard about that group of people that some Spanish explorers found on an island off the coast of Spain centuries ago? They were described as being very strange, very blonde and were trying to tell the officers about their myths of their origins, but the Spaniards weren't archeologists or geneticists, they were plundering conquerors, and they just killed these people and took their treasures. I wonder who those people were.

No, you didn't bore with your thoughts about the people who settled Spain, and you are not the only educated person here that can't quite grasp the science of genetics. When I get my results, I will need lots of help with the interpretation. I plan to go through the Gary Felix site, to support his genetic studies of "Mexicans".
I think the groups you mentioned that were first in a region then disappeared just died out or migrated elsewhere, or were captured or dispersed after wars.
My father was descended from Basques (Olague), and I even went to a town in the Navarre region by that name. My father thought his Basque ancestors came from France, since his great-grandfather was known as "El Frances" but my research shows no French, only Espanol, as far back as the late 1600s in Zacatecas. I also had a good friend from Pamplona who said her ancestry was very mysterious, that the Basque language has no other similar roots elsewhere, and that some there said that perhaps

-I have found birth years ranging from 1868 to 1878. From speaking with those familiar with the customs at the time and place, it would not be unusual to marry at 14, 15 or 16. I've wondered if it is possible that she changed her birth year when she came to the US since this was not the custom there. Both are out of print but can be found at the Genealogy Section of some Public Libraries in the US. Usually this type of book is not in circulation for reference only.

While we are on the subject of books and historians, does anyone know if there are any books on Yahualica or Cuquio, Jalisco? Or on Nochistlan, Zac?
Thanks for getting back to me. Luckily, I own a copy of the second book. I
hope to spend a day in the Boston Library this summer, checking out what
they have. I'll look for NOCHISTLAN, ZACATECAS. Do you know whether it
includes the story of the history of the city, in addition to genealogical
references?

Raquel,
The book "NOCHISTLAN, ZACATECAS..." by Ing. Jesús Durán Rodríguez includes
bits-and-pieces of the history of Nochistlán, but it deals primarily with
the genealogy of the first Spanish settlers. It is not intended as a
history book. I found it very interesting and helpful. I was lucky enough
to get a copy shortly after the author died 8-10 years ago. I don't think
there will be a reprint.
I cannot remember the title of another book I have that deals with the four
locations of the capital of Nueva Galicia. As I recall the first one was
Santiago de Compostela, then Nochistlán, then Tonalá (?) and finally
Guadalajara. Not sure, but I can check. If you're interested I can look
for the book next time I go to the warehouse (too many books at home, so I
had to rent a climate-controlled ministorage to keep some of them).

Hello Rick,
I really don't know if any library here in the US has it, but the LDS
Library in Salt Lake City might have a copy. I understand that some of
their books have been microfilmed, otherwise you would have to visit their
library in SLC. Availability can be checked online at the FamilySearch
website It is worth a shot. I think it is an excellent book about the
genealogies of Nochistán and the surrounding areas. The introduction is by
Professor Mariano González Leal.

I am trying to find information on Diego Lopes de Nava and Juana Gertrudes Flores.
He was born about 1720/30, probably in Aguascalientes, and married Juana Gertrudes Flores. They had at least one child, Maria Teresa Lopes de Nava, who married Jose Pantaleon Sandoval (date unknown); she died 14 Jul 1786, and was buried at Nuestra Sra. de Guadelupe, Aguascalientes. Jose Pantaleon Sandoval married again in 1787, Maria Ignacia Lopes de Nava (daughter of Jose Eulogio Lopes de Nava and Maria Antonia Romo de Vivar).
Hi George, IO have a uknown López de Nava married an uknown FLores de la Torre in Teocaltich, who had my 8x great grandmother Gertrudis López de Nava, who married Juan Julián González de Bermejo. Anny relation? -Daniel

Dear Patty,
My Spanish is not what it should be; even so, I found the information to be extremely interesting! As I continue researching my ggggrandfather, Jose Maria Santelices, I found that he is again named in the Constitucion of 1836,in the Articulos Transitorios number 8: Los periodos de duracion que prefijan las leyes constitucionales a todos los funcionarios que van a ser electos con arreglo a las presentes prevenciones, comenzaran a contarse desde el 19 de enero de 1837, sea cual fuere el dia en que comiencen a ejercer los nombrados.
If I'm not mistaken, it goes on to list representatives from the Departamentos of Mexico in alphabetical order. Jose Maria Santelices appears in the Departamento de Puebla. Again, I appreciate your input.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows who Caterina, daughter of don Marcos Pedroza and María López de Nava, married? Her daughter was my ancestor's first wife. Juana Izzazi y Martín del Campo or Cuevas. I think her paternal grandparents were Nicolás Martín del Campo and Sebastiana Izzazi y Cuevas, hence the Izzazi y Martín del Campo. Juana was also known as Juana Izzazi y Cuevas. So I KNOW for a fact she descended from the same alteño Izazzi.
Catalina Pedroza on 31/may /1683 married bernabe martin del campo son of francisco martin del campo and Maria Isassi

Thanks, Richard! I cant believe it. I already had this couple in my vast database! What drove me off was I had Catarina de la Pedroza in my database "hija de Marcos Pedroza y María de Nava" and in another part of my database I had her listed as Catalina López de Nava, hija de Marcos Pedroza and María Lopes. I need to check where and when she is listed as López de Nava. I know at least one document she uses her mother's name. I need to cite my sources on my PAF more often, but when I was younger I was ignorant at the fact, the importance of citing for future refernce. I have María and Juana both using there grandmother's surname Izazzi y Cuevas. Juana Izzazi y Cuevas (or Izzazi y Martín del Campo) married my ancestor Nicolás Díaz y Tiscareño bef 1731 not sure when, perhaps you do, Richard? They at least had one daughter Fabiana D. y. Tsño. Juana died in Aug 1730, a year later Nicolás married my 7x grt grandmother, Dionicia de la Pedroza, this marriage on 5 apr 1731 in Lagos de Moreno
For Marcos pedroza's wife I have a maria Nava daughter of Thomas Villalobos and catarina Macias and nothing else. I this correct? Do you have more info on her?

The dispensa I have for Nicolás and Dionicia says that Caterina was hija de Marcos de la Pedroza y María López de Nava. In return, María is daughter of Mateo de Macías y Valadés and Catalina López de Nava, hence why I think Catarina or Catalina used Nava intercchangeably. For Bill Figueroa, re Moran & Martines-Calbillo / Lopes
Bill, I have several questions about the family of Domingo MORAN and his wife Antonia MARTINES-CALBILLO / LOPES. Where does the LOPES come in with Antonia MARTINES-CALBILLO? Are their parents named in their wedding document [4 Aug 1665]?
Bill and others,
I was checking the marriage record of Domingo Moran with Antonia Martinez-Calvillo, and found some interesting details about Antonia's name. I've transcribed the record below. Note that her name was first recorded as Maria (left margin), but in the body text as Antonia. Maria was changed at a later date to Josepha, and since they were not 'velados' the day of their wedding, a note to that effect was entered (velados 9 marzo 1666). I found that document (transcribed below) and Antonia is identified as Josepha Calvillo. Finally, Domingo is referred in both documents as Viudo. Any idea who was his first wife?
Got JPG of both documents if anyone wants to see them.

Jaime,
I checked several church records and all refer to Domingo Moran's wife as Antonia Calvillo, or Antonia Martínez Calvillo. For example, when she died in 1675 her burial record, dated 28 May 1675 says "fue enterrada Antonia Calbillo, muger que fue de Domingo Moran. No testó".
The baptismal records of her five children, all born between 1665-1675, name their mother as Antonia Calvillo. Therefore, the fact that her marriage record had her first as María, then Antonia and finally as Josepha, indicates to me that the priest was not sure of her name when he made the entry in the books.
I doesn't surprise me that Domingo Morán was a widower when he married Antonia Calvillo. He remarried a year after Antonia died His last wife was Nicolasa Vásquez (aka Nicolasa Martel) whom he married on 13 May 1676 in Aguascalientes. Domingo Morán was buried 25 Dec 1686 also in Aguas. Nicolasa survived him by six years until she died in 1692. She was buried in Aguascalientes 18 Jan 1692.

Domingo Morán and Antonia Martínez Calvillo were married in Aguascalientes on 4 Aug 1665. As far as I know, they had the following children:
1.. Joseph Morán Martínez who married María López de Saldaña
2.. Juan Morán Martínez who married Juana de Montoya
3.. Domingo Morán Martínez, no additional information.
4.. Nicolás Morán Martínez, who died infant.
5.. Nicolás Martínez Morán (second with that name) who married Andrea Alonso de los Hinojos (aka Andrea Ruiz de Esparza)
Antonia Martínez Calvillo died in Aguascalientes on 28 May 1675. The following year Domingo Morán married Nicolasa Vázquez (aka Nicolasa Martel) in Aguascalientes (13 May 1676). They had no children. Domingo died ten years later on 25 Dec 1686. His second wife died on 18 Jan 1692.
Antonia Martínez Calvillo appears in some documents with the surname López Calvillo. I still haven't figured out why. She was mostly known as Antonia Calvillo. The parents of Domingo Morán and Antonia Martínez
