Jospeh that is wonderful news.  The only family
connection from that area would be my
great-grandmother Francisca Carrillo who was from that
area; she married Casmiro Muro.   However I found her
baptism and marriage record in Santa Maria and
Colotlan.  Francisca was born in the early 1840's;
it's possible Huejucar didn't have a church until
after that time-frame?  I wish you good-luck, at this
time I don't have any films from Huejucar.

I'm soooooo excited. I just got off the phone with my 2nd cousin Roy Raygoza from Antioch, CA. Seems that his grandfather, Nicolas was brother to my Grandmother, Antonia Lopez. The big big big news is that his parents are from Huejucar, Jalisco the same place he says that my grandmother is from. That being said I'm off to the races again inserarch of this line of elusive relatives on my maternal Grandmother's side. . .her name is Antonia Lopez.

I just ordered two films from Huejucar. . .are there any Lopez in the group from Huejucar by chance?

ps: previous to this discovery I had doubts as to the true name of my maternal Grandmother as she went by several aliases. But I've heard it from 3 separate independant sources and thats good enough for me. If I can find a Lopez family in Huejucar that had two children named Nicolas and Antoniia I think I'll be on

When there is a IGI record, says that the record was submitted by a 
LDS Member.  Especially, if it was submitted in the 1970's, 1980's, 
and the early 1990's, on paper.  The church kept a copy on the 
submission on film.  They are sorted into batch numbers and into 
Serial or sheet numbers.  These numbers are so that you can find the 
record on the film.  As far as I know, you can only use the Batch 
number, when performing a online search. 

The submissions films, are restricted to the Family History Library 
in Salt Lake.

The best time to use these is when you find a record of interest that
has a batch number. Records were submitted by extraction workers or by
church members in batches. So it is often the case that the records in
a particular batch are either for related persons or persons who lived
in the same area at the same time.

So whenever a batch number exists, try searching for all the records
from that batch. (I think you have to entry a country too.) Some
batches are very large and may have sheet numbers too. If these were
microfilmed or extracted from a microfilm, there may be a Film number.
